Plant Genetic Resource Centre, Peradeniya

The Plant Genetic Resources Center in Gannoruwa, Peradeniya, has implemented a combined on-grid solar photovoltaic system totaling 164.22 kW. The installation consists of two phases: the first system delivers 80.04 kW using 174 JA 460 panels, supported by Solis 50K and Solis S5-GR3P20K inverters, commissioned on 29th March 2023. The second expansion adds 84.18 kW using 183 JA 460 panels, supported by two Solis S5-GR3P20K and two Solis S5-GR3P15K inverters, commissioned on 1st December 2023. Together, these systems enhance the facility’s renewable energy capacity and sustainability goals.
